Ned Kelly's Last Stand at Glenrowan.  Updated May 11 2008.

Welcome to my site, home of the Siege at Glenrowan.

This site is an educational resource for those who wish to learn the truth about the siege at
Glenrowan in June of 1880.

This is not a hero-worship site, nor an anti Ned Kelly one. It is a factual site.

If you are unfamiliar with the history of the siege, please start at the 'Story' pages.

Please enjoy your visits to my site.

Best wishes, Dave White.

I shall be working as a 'volunteer' (for 3 hrs) at the Siege site during the month of May.

PAPERS PAST (19 Feb 08)

The National Library of New Zealand has digitised over a million pages
of old NZ newspapers/periodicals and has made them available free to
read for the public. It is a veritable treasure trove of information
on the Kelly Gang!

Thanks to Sharon Hollingsworth for alerting me to this fantastic resource.

The Aussie beard team heading for Alaska.

Read about the dig soon to happen at the Glenrowan Siege site.

I visited Glenrowan on Saturday, hmmm............. well anyway I took a few photos for you good
folk to see the new (September) signage. Why the heck they did not stick with the Touring Route style
they had done with great success at Avenel beats me.

Also, the fence at the site of the Tavern has been fixed (was laying down) however the site
resembles a tip............take a look. (bottom of page)

A newspaper published in the North East recently shows just how badly the Revitalisation has been
botched. Even a few locals were optimistic in 2006, not so in 2008.

Regular visitors to 1880 will know that I usually update a lot and have not done so for a while.
The reason is simple, I have been working on a new much larger site.
I will let you know more when I get a bit closer to being finished.
