Ghosts

Do you believe you have seen the ghost of Ned Kelly? How about Joe Byrne's spirit?
I have spoken to people who claim to have done so. One lady I knew said Joe appeared
at her home. Another friend said he witnessed a séance where Ned communicated, and
yet another séance where Aaron made his feelings known.

So why am I telling you this? Simply because today a regular visitor to 1880 named
Maz sent me in some pictures taken at the Old Melbourne Gaol. (OMG)

So are there ghosts at the gaol? I know that when my sons once shut me into a dark small
cell one day at the OMG I was pretty keen to get out!.

Maybe it is all in our imaginations, or perhaps not.

The following are the photos Maz sent in and some others I found at home and online after
a bit of a search.

How about this quote from the OMG's manager.

"Dead women crying for help and footsteps at the
door are part of the atmosphere at the old gaol
where Ned Kelly was hanged".

Richard Berman once described himself as "an ardent
skeptic". But not any more.
Not since he was visited by the a rather pushy ghost
at the Old Melbourne Gaol.
As manager of the historic complex, Richard has
witnessed and heard about a number of odd happenings
at the Old Gaol, enough to change his mind about
the paranormal.

There is one photo that had people believing in a ghost at the OMG for a while, however they
soon realised that it was actually a perspex 'woman' situated near the female prisoners
information cell. :)

The following is interesting:

While visiting the old Melbourne jail my wife and I experienced
and unusual sensation (hard to give it an appropriate word.

Anyway we have been together over 10 years so know each other
pretty well, neither of us has ever experienced anything paranormal
or ghostly etc. On this day we had been looking around for a while
and our 2 kids were off ahead poking in and out of the cells. As we
were standing outside of the corner cell on the upper floor opposite
the hanging beam we were both over come by a really strong feeling
of love I suppose is the closest word I can think of. We were drawn
to each other and only a few seconds later the feeling subsided as
quickly as it came.

It doesn't sound very exciting when you write it down but the feeling
was so strong and effected us together plus most paranormal, ghost
experiences are usually portrayed as bad and this one was the total
opposite.

After viewing the image above I recalled one like it I had taken at the animated
theatre in Glenrowan. Yes, I know picture taking is prohibited in there. I must
have missed the sign. :)

Fancy a ghost visiting here! Oh well I guess someone has to.:)
